Meet Dixon

I’m Michael A. Dixon, but I go by Dixon.

East Point isn’t just where I live, it’s home for more than 8 years. It’s where neighbors still wave, families put down roots, and people look out for one another. That’s the spirit that inspires me every day.

For more than 20 years, I’ve built my career bringing people together and creating opportunities. With a strong educational foundation earning a B.A. in Human Services and an M.A. in Higher Education, I learned how to balance heart and strategy, two essentials for effective leadership. Some of what I’ve done includes:

• Leading teams and launching programs that make a real impact.

• Securing resources that open doors for students, families, and businesses.

• Strengthening organizational impact and supporting entrepreneurs.

Along the way, I’ve learned that when people have the right tools and opportunities, communities don’t just grow… they thrive.

When I think about East Point, I see a city full of energy, talent, and heart. That’s the kind of vision I want to bring as your next Mayor:
